Our Literacy & Numeracy Support sessions are facilitated by fully qualified integration aides who have experience working with children with a range of disabilities.
Sessions focus on literacy and numeracy intervention including:
Pencil grasp
Letter and number formation
Reading comprehension and fluency
Automatic recall and spelling of high-frequency words
HOW WILL THIS HELP MY CHILD?
There is emerging evidence showing that children who read aloud to animals experience a significant improvement in their literacy skills, confidence, and motivation to engage with literacy tasks.
The calming presence of animals has been shown to assist children with ADHD in maintaining better focus during learning activities.
The non-threatening presence of an animal can be particularly helpful to children who experience anxiety.

This service is for: Primary school-aged children with NDIS funding (self or plan-managed).
